Blog heros
For me! From Pamela at Just Me! Look she thinks I am cool!!!
Alicia
Ha! Now, with this girl, I'd have to say we are totally in sync! She has her quirky sense of humour, she loves shoes, she has her WII FIT *did I tell you that babes bought it for me today for my birthday pressie (hint hint, my bd is a few days away!)?! hehe* and neon tights jokes are just hilarious. I can also tell she has a creative eye. She's had a failed IUI but she amazingly bounces back with fever pitch spirit and takes on the next battle with so much determination that I've got to admire this girl. Please click here for a good laugh and give her all your yodelling for her upcoming IUI.
I would like to pass it forward to...
Carmen at About a Girl - Her blog is full of one of my favorite people, Grace! But she also writes very honestly and passionately. She is a great friend, both in blogging land and in real life! She has a lot of adventures with running, knitting, card making and cake decorating! She has so many neat interests to read about and is so freakin talented! Go check her out.
So do you all have a favorite blogger. Someone’s blog who has inspired you to be a better writer, someone who you LOVE reading each day and sooo wish they would read, glance, notice your blog, cause OH MY GOD they are that extremely cool???
I have a blog like that. I read amalah.com and she is the best thing going on in blog land. I comment on all her posts, but so do 200 other people (not even joking) so I never thought I would get a response back from her.
But yesterday, I had a hit on my blog from her site!! I know it could be some other commenter clicking on my name to check out me out, but HOLY CRAP it so could be Amalah. I have been kinda on this cloud ever since I saw it.
Am I the only one with a blog crush?
Anyways, Amalah, if you are reading this (WHICH HOLY CRAP IS SO COOL!) luv ya, do you want to be my friend?? please?
How did you all start blogging?
For me I wanted to start a little infertility journal on babycenter and after months of me trying to contact them to do this, I finally gave up. It was then I noticed the blog section on babycenter. And it was there I found amalah. I read all her posts and thought that this was something I could do! I did some more searching and found so many blogs, especially on infertility.
I have always loved writing and have always found it so therapeutic. So I figured a blog would be a perfect fit for me, so I started one. I never thought it would be read by so many, and I thank you all for that, I hope you stick around, cause I am sure there will be many adventures ahead!

Nope, I have serious blog crushes. In fact, I ended up being friends with one of my blog crushes! It was so cool.
My current blog crush is Julia (Here Be Hippogriffs). Her site is http://julia.typepad.com/julia/ She is such a good writer and I end up laughing at most of her posts. (Causing my husband to ask me what I am reading.) I spent a week reading through all of her archives and I was so disappointed when I ran out.

Funny, I was just planning to write a post about why I blog and asking others why they blog, too. I have a bit of a blog crush on Julie at A Little Pregnant (http://www.alittlepregnant.com), but it seems like everyone has a crush on her, so I know I won't ever get anywhere, and Matt Logelin at matt, liz, and madeline (http://www.mattlogelin.com/), but he's also got a huge fan base, and given his story, it feels a little wrong for me to use the term blog crush (his wife died the day after their daughter was born), but his writing and photography is freaking amazing.

My blog crush is you, my dear niece and it is because you write so well, it makes me laugh, and you have amazing picture, amazing shoes and amazing stories and such a way with words. Nothing to do with you being my relative, daughter of my favourite brother.
You are quite entertaining in real life, too, but I don't get to see you much, because we are both so busy.
I read Jen and Ann and Mel and Jaime and cheered when they got pregnant (except Ann, who has a baby with glasses, like I had). So, you have introduced me to a new world and made me aware of the pain of infertility and sensitive to people around me who struggle with this.

I would have selected you for this award too! I love the sense of humor and fun you bring to the otherwise depressing subject of infertility.

I started blogging cuz I had just migrated. I wanted to put this big move in writing! Then, I started writing about my ttc journey. After which, I got shitload of assvice!!!! Then, in a fit of anger, I removed it and felt such a lost cuz that previous blog meant something.
I have to read this amalah blog now!

Ha, I have a blog crush on Amalah too, which is how I found you today, come to think of it!
I started blogging because I'm a journalist, so it seemed natural, because I'd always kept paper jounrals, but my hand writing got too bad to read and because... well, because I'm all about the attention, really :)
