TODAY! I am a whole quarter of a century old! 25 big ones.
To celebrate this momentous day, my wonderful, adorable, charming husband got me this:
A Canon Rebel! My dream camera! Well this particular one wasn't my dream camera, just one of this quality. I used to be quite the little photographer. In high school I took photography all 3 years. After high school I worked as a professional photographer at Sears Portrait Studios, and I even took a university level course in photography. I own a Minolta camera. It is a manual camera, and is quite amazing. Except that it is manual, and in a world of digital it just does not have the convenience I need. I also own a few lenses for this camera that ROCK and are expensive and I love them. We were told Sony had purchased Minolta and that all Sony cameras are compatible with Minolta lenses. So I had intended to purchase the Sony 350 K, but when arriving at the store we quickly realized that my lenses do not fit this camera. We put a call into Sony and ya, manual lenses do not work on ANY digital cameras. So boo on that.
After finding this out the camera guy told us that for a cheaper price we could get a Canon and it would take WAY better quality pictures. So I put the Sony down and fell in love with this little dude.
We got it last night, as Keith couldn't pick it out with out me, and all night I played with it. I read the whole manual and am sooo excited to start taking pictures! The automatic features are fabulous, but I am really excited about the manual features it has too! I am going to have to brush up on my photography knowledge, sort out apertures, f stops, shutter speeds and then this baby will be taking pics like the pros! AHHHH so excited.
Also in exciting news, Starbucks waited till my birthday to begin their Christmas season, which means just one thing.....Cranberry Bliss Bars! Of which I have already eaten 2. Yes they are that good.
Also exciting, Keith cleaned my boots for me, took them to the store and a new manager gave him our money back! YES!! I know can buy whatever boots I want, from wherever I want! SO HAPPY!
And more excitingness, I am going to eat at the Muse tonight! MY FAV RESTAURANT! Yes there will be pictures and reviews and awesomeness!
Today is a pretty freakin fantastic day.
PS: Earth to Twinkle, a really GREAT b-day present for mommy would be to kick her really hard. She soooo wants to feel you!
That's the same kind of camera I have! Now, you'll have to teach me the manual features because I don't use them.

Sony digital camers are NOT my favorite. I have had nothing but bad luck, so I am glad you got the Canon. Congrats and you better be posting some good photos soon!

What a great birthday so far hey?? Nice camera, we have a rebel too and love love love it. Don't know if its the same as yours or not.
And I am happy you got your money back for the boots! That is awesome. Make sure you buy something comfy and that will still be comfy when your feet swell up! That could begin very soon...

Twinkle will kick when he's ready...Dr's kept asking me if I had felt my son kick for a month a half and I was worried that I hadn't...it will happen.
