were dead wrong.
Twinkle is a GIRL!!!!
I was stunned hearing the news. I almost couldn't breathe, because with every fiber in my being I thought boy! Keith thought I was disappointed, but I was really in a state of shock! And the answer to “Are you disappointed?” is, HELLO are you CRAZY! 2 years to conceive this baby, 2 years! I would have taken an alien monkey growing in my uterus! So to have a baby, a real baby growing inside of me, and to have that baby be a little girl!, a precious little girl, who will have so many shoes and so many clothes, umm ya I am pretty freakin excited.
So world, here she is, my little daughter.

Ohh can't you just picture the little shoes on her dainty little feet!

Hi friends! Did you miss me?? And of course I am a girl! Geez, all this him, he, his stuff, was really starting to get on my nerves (and those are being coated with protective stuff only now, so you can imagine the sting!).

Peek a boo! Defiantly emphasis on the boo. Kinda a creepy shot.

But little skull girl takes the cake for creepy shot!

HEY! Stop calling me creepy, I am the cutest thing in any uterus!

Bye peeps!! Will be seeing you soon :)
She is looking very good. Her spine and heart look super healthy. She was wiggling all over the place and jumping up a storm. The tech had to poke me a few times to get her to cooperate! Ok still can't believe I am typing her. WOW.
Names. It's the next biggest question on everyone’s lips now that the sex is known. I slipped up a lot on the boys name, telling who ever would listen the name we had chosen for a boy. A name I love, and still plan to use one day. But I got a few not so nice comments about this name. Everyone has opinions right! So because my daughter is precious and so is her name, it will be kept a secret till her birth. Which will kill you I know, cause I HATE it when my friends do this. But I get it now. So we have a few names we are thinking of, but you are just going to have to wait 22 more weeks!
I HAVE A DAUGHTER! AHHHHHH.
Winner to be announced tomorrow for the voting of the genitals contest!
PS Typepad is mysterioulsy deleting some of my comments. I know yesterday there was 46 votes for the big contest and today it shows only 44? I NEVER delete comments, so if you notice yours isn't there let me know today and I will make sure you are listed!
YEAH a girl!!!! Shall I tell the staff over at heelarious.com to be expecting an order today?

Oh I also wanted to say that names are so tricky! My daughters name is Sofia and she was adopted from Ethiopia when she was a year old. I was so excited when we got her referral and we decided to keep her birth name. I was relieved to not have to chose a name for her, it's such a big responsibility!
I do envy you though, it must be exciting talking about names... Maybe one day I'll have that chance too!

I was right! I have the feeling your daughter will have more shoes than Imelda Marcos...

Yay for a girl! Fantastic news. Oh, the shoes that your baby girl will have... I had the exact same experience, I was sure Zoe was a boy, and was just stunned when the u/s tech said we were having a girl. I refused to fully believe it - not because I didn't want a girl, but because I didn't want to get a lot of girl stuff and then have a boy - until she was actually born.

Congrats Congrats! I am so excited!!

MAN, I am GOOD! I knew it, called it weeks ago when you were in the throws of that awful morning sickness. ;) Didn't you trust me all along?
I am so excited for you, Alicia! Shopping for girls is SO MUCH FUN. OMG, I cannot even get over how much fun I am having. Does this change up your nursery plan in any way?
We are holding out on the name, too. Don't need any negativity!
*hugs* and CONGRATS!

awesome !:) so happy for you!

Very, very cool. So freakin excited for you & Keith!

Ditto Mel's comment - shopping for girls is so much more fun. My friend Carol who has a boy Alison's age always give Alison the BEST birthday presents, because she never gets to shop for her boy. Of course now I shop WITH my girl, and everything looks good on her, in my opinion.
COOOOOOOOOOL. I am so excited.
Janice.

I so knew it! :) Like another commentor mentioned, the morning sickness! Us girls are just so cruel to our Mamas! Hee hee. :) Congratulations to you and Keith.
As far as negativity about names, I say pooh on those people, you name YOUR daughter what you WANT!! ;)

I can't believe I was right! That's a first for me!!! I had a feeling with such the awful morning sickness you had. I'm so excited for you!!! She is such a princess already!
I don't blame you for keeping the name a secret, I hate rude comments on what I want to name MY child!
Glad she's doing great and again, congratulations!

We are totally keeping the name a secret too!
And yeah! A girl! Terrific, fabulous, and wonderful! You will need a second job to pay for all the shoes you will need for those adorable feet.

Congratulations Alicia. Hooray for little baby girl shoes, little baby girls booties, and little baby girl socks that look like shoes.

Congrats you guys. That is so exciting. I will admit, i thought it was going to be a girl, but I said boy because I was hoping for someone to break the girl trend here! But all children are a blessing. I was convinced Ella was a boy. I was also in shock when I was told she was a girl.
And the picture of the open hand is a very positive thing! Don't know if anyone has ever told you that before, but babies with disabilities can't open their hands in the womb! So, I was releived when I saw that in Ellas ultrasounds. So, happy for you guys! Hoepfully we will see you tomorrow here??

Congrats!!! So exciting...a daughter is perfect for you to indulge in shoe shopping with! :)
I agree with you on the names thing...now if only I could get DH to agree to not share names ideas, that would be great - I just don't want to hear the never-ending comments on our choices, whereas after birth, it's too late for commenting. :)

Congratulations. Sugar and Spice, and all shoes nice! How fun is that! People are so dumb with names. I mean, sure have an opinion. But share negative ones with the mother? No way. Unless it means penis in Hungarian or something... LOL. Those are some fantastic pics. :-)

YAY!!!!! I can't believe I was right! I've been thinking boy for myself all along and now I'm thinking it will end up being the opposite. I'll know in 2 weeks! Twinkle looks so cute and sweet! Thanks for sharing all the amazing pictures. So fascinating!!!
