Date day

Keith had off this past Friday, so we decided to make a date day out of it!

We headed off to Big Hill Springs to go for a hike.

And of course since we were here, and there was a pride rock thing going on, we had to do a little Rafiki and Simba action up on the rock!

"We present to you, animal kingdom of Bill Hill Springs, your Queen! Obey and serve her as if she were your own mother. You will address her as Queen Ivy from her on out, and bees don't even think about stinging her!"

After the park we went home to watch some of "The Office" (have I told how this is the best show ever created? Have I? The laughter induced from this show can heal all grumpiness, fights and boredom!) and then we got ready for the real date!

This time for date night we ate at Joey Tomato's. A safe restaurant, reasonable prices and reasonable food, and you are always in for a little treat with the boob show they have going on in that place! (waitresses are a little on the sluty side).

After Keith's fish tacos and my ahi tuna burger (we both decided to branch out and try a new item on the menu! We were both pleased!) and of course the standard belini (holy crap did my alcoholic self miss this drink! It is all glory in its peach wonderfulness and slushy texture with just the right amount of sangria poured on top...crap I want another one now and its only 9am here).

We then skipped over to Eau Claire Market, where the movie I picked was playing, and Oh my God are we glad we saw it.

Yes that is Jim from the office! Yes I am totally in love with him and even dreamt of him last night. Keith and I have decided that Ivy will marry his child (which is good cause him and Pam are pregnant in "The Office").

But the movie, holy freakin crap my friends does in rock more than anything. Remember I have a passion for movies. There is no counting in the films I have seen, because no one can count that high. Have you played deserted island? (You may notice my new obsession is also the office, because this game is from one episode in the show...we have watched all 5 seasons twice since Ivy was born, so naturally my brain is always close to an episode!) Anyway...deserted island is a game where you pick things you could have if you were on a deserted island forever, one of the things to pick is 5 movies. This is EXTREMELY hard for me, but I can now safely tell you Away We Go is on the list, that is how fantastic this movie is.

Keith and I were creeped out about how many similarities there were between the movie and our lives. It was packed full of humor, drama and tears. It looked at every type of parenting and even spoke of infertility with such accuracy and true raw emotion I was a bubbling mess of tears. WARNING: this whole thing is about the couples journey in her pregnancy and meeting up with friends and families with kids, so if this kinda thing is hard for you to watch then please don't mess yourself up watching this one (but it is totally amazing!).

After the movie Keith and I couldn't wait to get back to my parents house to scoop up little Ivy into our arms and shower her with some love.

We had one freakin fantastical Date Day. Defiantly be doing these often!

A night at the movies

First Tissue is ok. He has a chest infection and has been given 2 shots to fix him up. The vet was unusually crowded, and all with dogs. Big dogs. I put Tissues crate under my chair with the opening facing the wall to give Tissue as much hiding room as possible. But jerk dog owners would let their mutts crawl under the chairs to try and get Tissue. So naturally I would kick the dog, in a loving, get control of your pet asshole kind of way. I was not a favorite amongst the dog people.

And that sums up my weekend. I know I am so full of the interesting. I did get this:

So because I have nothing amazing in my life to talk to you about, lets talk about one of my greatest passions, and I may even call it a hobby...movies!

The Oscars were last night, which I didn't watch, but are a good transition into a movie post yes?

I have 3 movies to talk about. 3 movies which I have seen recently and have totally been affected by them, mostly in good ways.

1. Slum Dog Millionaire

Won best picture and 7, yes 7, other awards last night. I think this movie kinda took the world by surprise. It was only shown in one theatre here in Calgary, which is just plain weird. It seemed lower budget then most big Hollywood shows, as I don't think they were expecting it to be the amazing hit that it turned out to be.

It is basically about a young mans life story, from when he was a child to his present, but told in a very unique way through questions on the show Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Sounds strange, but it will blow your pants off. It made me cry, laugh, yell in anger and had me standing in applause at the end. This had only ever happened to me twice, this movie and Rudy (when it came out I was a little kid, going to the movies for probably the first time and people stood to applaud the film).

There is no one famous in this film, but none the less the acting is tremendous and the story line will grip you.

2. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Won 3 Oscars yesterday. The one for makeup I couldn't agree more with.

When I saw the previews for this film I could not have been more excited. The story even in the previews drew me. This story is basically about aging backwards. A baby being born old, and as the baby gets older he grows younger. The star of this film happens to be Brad Pitt, so that helps any movie out for sure.

But never have I seen a movie that was so perfectly packaged. It had phenomenal actors, a creative unique incredible story line, fantastic music and just a perfect mix of comedy, love and drama. It is a longer film, but it feels like it goes by in seconds.

The makeup award is deserved because they make Brad Pitt look really old, and did it very very well. But it is truly deserved when they make him look young. There is a scene in the movie where he is about 13 years old, and people he looks 13. I do not know how they got his face to look so smooth and young and boyish, but they did. And it is sorta creepy.

3. Revolutionary Road

Nominated for a few Oscars, winner of none. Which saddens me. In my lifetime of movie watching, which is quite extensive as I consider movie watching a hobby, I have never seen such incredible, jaw dropping, acting skills.

I can't believe Leonardo was not nominated for best male actor, because watching him on that screen was surreal. Both him and Kate played their roles to such an amazing extent that I actually thought at moments that I was watching a documentary of a real couple on TLC or something.

I think I could talk for hours about this film, as truly it has changed me. This movie is simple, it’s only purpose and only story is showing the reality of a marriage. A real marriage. Not a Hollywood or Royal marriage, but a marriage like yours and like mine. It is so encompassing of what a married couple experiences that the fight scenes capture EXACT fights in the EXACT ways of fighting Keith and I have experienced. It actually frightened me.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think all marriages are doomed to end up like theirs, as this movie is very fully depressing. But it shows you how slippery a slope marriage can be, and I think wakes us up a bit, slaps us in the face a bit, is trying to tell us to listen better, communicate better, love better, because we are all not that different and one persons tragedy could easily become our own. It is a life changing film, so beware.

WARNING: If you are experiencing infertility, or have been through the tragedy of losing a child you may want to skip this one. There is a scene, or more an experience in this film that could be very upsetting and hurtful to some of you and I don't want you to hate me for recommending this movie. If you can move past your experience and just take it as one for this couple in this movie then you will be ok. But from reading some of your reviews on movies like Sex and the City and Baby Mama where the inaccuracies and false portrayals of infertility have really affected you, I would stay away from this one.

So I REALLY want to hear your opinions on these films. If you have seen them PLEASE e-mail me and lets chat, if you haven't get your butt out of the house this week and go see one, because you will not regret it.

The Doppler Happening

It has been a while since I talked about movies. I know I have the little lame sidebar thing that no one looks at, but I feel the need to express once again the true passion I have for movies, especially since that is about the only activity I can muster up the energy to do lately.

I want to talk about my favorite writer/director/producer. Rarely does someone’s every movie creation blow me away, but my dude, M. Night Shyamalan (pronounced at my house M Night Shamalamnanean) has managed to impress me with everything he puts out.

They are all fantastic, The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village, Lady in the Water and his newest The Happening.

We watched The Happening last night.

I was not disappointed. This one has a bit of disturbingness to it, mind you many of his movies have that element in it, probably why I freakin love them so much. It really makes you think, and I kinda like the whole plot element, I can't say what it is because it will ruin it for you, but it is very interesting.

Only disappointing thing was that there was no appearance by M. Night. He is in all the movies he makes, playing some small role! I always look for him, it’s like finding Waldo! I think possibly because he played a rather large role in Lady in the Water that he wanted a break from acting.

I just love movies that implant themselves in your brain and you end up thinking about them over and over and wanting to watch them over and over to really capture the whole story.

Ok you are bored now yes? I am a movie geek and I think you should see this one, when it is rentable, legally, I am so bad!

And if you want to do a whole movie weekend sometime (what you don’t do that??) watch all of M.Night's gems, I will come over!! And I will bring truffle oil popcorn, yummm so wonderful.

Keith's birthday is on Oct 16th. I have the most freakin fantastical idea for his birthday, but I have a conundrum.

I am going to rent a doppler (machine that hears babies heartbeats!) and have it all set up on the morning of his birthday so he can hear little Twinkles heartbeat for the first time. Come on how amazing is that??

Problem is, I know myself, once I hear it once and have the tool to hear it again each day, I will want to until Twinkle is born to make sure he is all alive and stuff.

So I can rent the doppler for as long as I want, it is like $40 a month. I was thinking I would rent it for one and if Keith loves it as much as me then I will extend the contract for another 6 months or so. I am just not sure if Keith will like the idea of renting it for that long, but if I rent it once I may go bananas with out it!

So I can rent it for one month, have a great b-day for Keith and then return it after the month and worry every flippin day of this pregnancy, or extend the contract by pouting to Keith everyday.

OR

I can just rent it right now for 6 months and then Keith does not have a say and still gets a great b-day present and then I get to listen to Twinkles little beating heart each day and ease my immense worry!

What is a girl to do?

Coffee Bean

It is so strange and obviously miraculous that something the itsy bitsy size of a coffee bean has a spine, eyes, leg buds, arm buds, 2 set of kidneys (which are useless apparently), the beginning of lungs, a functioning beating heart, and now the beginnings of a brain.

Does this not blow your freakin mind?

  Just let it sink in a bit. That is very small.

What also blows my mind is that something so small can have such a drastic effect on my body. I can't believe during all those 2 week waits I ever thought I had real pregnancy symptoms, cause dude these are insane. The fatigue I am getting used to, and can function as long as I have 11 hours of sleep a night, which yes is putting me to bed at 8pm.

The ripening melons are in desperate need of some new support, which I tried to obtain the other day, but the amazing bra store of amazingness was closed and now I won't have a chance to go until like next Wednesday, I think they will have doubled in size by then, so I may have to stay home with boob ache.

A new symptom that coffee beans are creating is a smell sensitivity, which is weird. My office has this really stuffy offensive odor all of a sudden, peanut butter always smells and tastes stall, the smallest hint of garbage smell sends the gag reflux in my throat a spasming.

Still no morning sickness. I am sorta, secretly hoping for some, I know I am crazy all you bent over the toilet pregnant ladies are now calling the psych ward on me, cause who the hell WANTS morning sickness. But that symptom tells me there are really babies in there, and that they are growing. I think it would make this whole pregnancy thing a little more real in my mind.

I have prayed many times, that if God would just get me knocked up I would take EVERY horrible, evil and awful symptom out there and not complain, if He would just send us a baby. I always thought He would make good on that one.

But I will take what is given to me and celebrate each symptom, no matter how irritating. So yay for the fatigue and boo ya for the boob aches and yuppee for the pregnancy nose and OH YES for the constant peeing, I wouldn't trade any of them for anything, cause they mean my babies are growing.

Grow babies grow babies grow grow grow babies! And stick and stick stick stick and stick!

Pregnant till proven otherwise

That is my mantra, motto, whatever the young and hip are calling it these days.

IUI #2 has occurred. It started with Keith visiting the semen lab, where his soldiers were washed and beautified for their performance.

Here they are, all 23.8 million of them. In that little jar, it's really hard to wrap your head around, I know.

I came back later that afternoon, ready to be turkey basted. I wore my sketchers to this appointment, because these babies were what was important:

Lucky socks in the stirrups! Stirrups with oven mitt covers, very, weird? Oh ya you didn't notice the oven mitts, you were to busy being BLINDED by the sever pastiness of my legs. I am sorry.

The nurse pleasantly chatted about the festivals in town, and the weather. Then she focused on the socks and said her daughter would love them! So I got to explain the power of them to her in a most calm way

"OMG I know!! They soo kick butt AHHHH! They are MY FERTILITY luck socks, my friend sent them to me, cause she IS THE BEST! AHHHHHHHHHHHH they are so making me PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Oh, how nice, this may hurt a bit." Stabs catheter to the back of uterus causing cramping to commence.  

It took all of 10 minutes for me to arrive at the clinic, be taken back to the basting room, for the basting to occur and for me to put all my clothes back on. Speedy people on a Saturday!

ME! Totally, officially (cause it has not been proven otherwise) PREGNANT! This is soo going in the triplets scrapbook. Don't you love the giant drawn vagina and uterus in the background!?! Proof this was not taken at home, but really who has that wall paper at home? That would have been proof enough. Because some wack jobs may have giant vaginas on their walls, so modern.

I spent this weekend, chilling on max and relaxing on cool and shottin some b-ball outside of my school, when a couple of guys who...ok ok you get it (I could do the whole Prince of Bellaire theme song, but who has that kinda time to read all that!) But seriously, I spent this weekend on the couch or in the bed having many naps. "It's for the babies hun, really!" I love using this excuse already! ha ha. And every time I use it I say babies, because I have it in my head that there is more then one.

I am doing EVERYTHING possible for this cycle to work. Keith and Nate prayed over me before the appointment, I have even freakin memorized a bible verse! Which is so hard to do. I wore the fertility power socks, I rested as long as possible. I am not drinking anything but juice and water. Keith and I even had a little song/chant going on, while walking to work, it went something like this:

"Stick and grow. Stick stick and grow!" There was pumping of the fists and everything, Keith even added a few bars of whistling.

Basically all that is humanly possible to do is being done. And for the first time in a while, I have faith that this is going to work.

GO BABY GO BABY GO GO GO BABIES!

Show and tell 1

Because it is Monday, and double because I missed last Monday...let's start off with a movie!!

It's a little bit old, but it is soo wonderful. I love the personality's of the characters and the totally out there story line. It has love, drama and twists! Keith even liked it! I thought Kate Winslet was sooo awesome in this role, and knowing her really only from Titanic this was quite surprising! Check it out if you are looking for something different, but really enjoyable.

Now for the show and tell.....since I am talking about movies every week, I thought I would show you my stash.

These are the ones kept in the ottoman. There are a few layers of DVDs there. Many VHS, but don't judge! I used to work at blockbuster and when the VHS's started becoming overtaken by DVDs I swooped in on all the deals. Do you think there will still be VCRs when our kids are older??

And then there are more. The ones in the basket beside the TV, the ones most recently watched and are placed there cause my feet are usually on the ottoman, and man I just don't want to move them to put the movie back!

I miss you guys already! But just think, here I am somewhere floating down the coast, eating. I plan to eat really just 24/7, you know get my moneyies worth!

Telling you lots about myself

I watched a movie with Keith on Saturday night. The dude at the counter told us it was a dark movie, we both said "cool" simultaneously.

Unfortunately it was not dark. It was messed up and all kinds of weird, but not dark. It was very interesting and I enjoyed it. I would not recommend it to everyone though. There’s a lot of drugs, sex, violence and family drama involved and may not be suitable for all viewers.

It had great acting, a different story line and AWESOME PREVIEWS! Seriously, rent it for the previews, I want to watch all of them.

So if you are not in the mood for this kinda strange, then a safe choice for you would be National Treasure 2. It was ok, pretty much what you would expect, but a good time killing on a Sunday afternoon kinda flick. No drugs, sex or violence involved, just a lot of treasure.

I was 14. So grade 10. I was thinking life was so hard, because hello HIGH SCHOOL! I dated a football player, for like 2 months, but I felt SOOO cool. I also had MY OWN LOCKER which was also sooo cool. And I was taking a grade 12 course, French 30, because I just came from bilingual junior high school, so that meant SPARES in grade 10, which made me sooo cool.

At the last bit of news that is oh so vital to share:

 

I have removed my nose piercing. :(  It was sadly infected, like every piercing I have ever gotten, except the tragus (sp?). I tried to heal it will polysporin and salt water, but there was no fixing it. It was swelling and turning red, and really just painful. It was a sad day in the Millis household, as I HATE removing piercings. Cause freak it hurts people.

 

Do not let this bit of information trick you into thinking this obviously means I will never get another piercing, cause I SOO will. Because I don't learn from my mistakes, future children DO NOT READ THIS.

 

 

Sex and the City

So if you love the show, then you will love the movie. It's like an extra long episode! Which is always fun. There is shoes, fashion, food, drinks and of course sex! The perfect girls night out!

And...in the first minute of the show, they show four girls walking together, making you think its the four main girls, it is not, but if you look closely one of those girls is wearing MY SHOES!!! My David Dixons. In the most shoe obsessed movie ever, and mine made the cut! So I am awesome, ya.

I won't tell you more cause I don't want to spoil anything, but you will love it. If you haven't watched the show before, don't go. It won't be as funny, and you may just not understand what the heck is going on.

After watching this movie, I am reminded about how much fun it is to be a girl. To wear and own all kinds of clothing, to have piles of shoes and still never have enough, to flirt and giggle and be cute! It's great!

I was inspired to celebrate my womenness, and what better way then to go shopping! I bought 3 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of pants, 3 new shirts, 2 belts, 3 pieces of jewelry, 2 belts and 1 handbag. All for $200! I love consignment shops. There will be pics of the shoes, soon. It is June now, so we are back to shoe Fridays! SOOO excited.

All your 2 week wait suggestions are wonderful. I am planning on watching loads of movies, doing more shopping and going out with friends and family. I imagine these weeks will fly by.

The results will come at a good time, because I leave for our cruise on the 21st, if I am disappointedly not pregnant then there will be a lot of drinking done on this boat, I may not get off. For the other vacationers sack universe, you may just want to knock me up!?!

#16 "Birthday's may be difficult for me." Twenty Things Adopted Kids Wish Their Adoptive Parents Knew. By Sherrie Eldridge.

This never occurred to me before. Birthdays, the day we are born, normally a cause for celebration. But for adoptees, for some, not all, birthdays can be very hard. It is not just a reminder of the day they are born, but the day they were abandoned. Even if they were adopted later in life, or given up for adoption not on their birthday, this day still reminds them that the mom that birthed them, is not around.

They think, I wonder if she is thinking about me today. She HAS to think about me today, I was born today. It is a day of mixed emotions for an adoptee. A day parents think will be great and fun for their child, may end up a mess. Or it might not.

If signs are showing, like sabotaging their own parties, refusing to eat, leave their rooms etc. Then maybe this day needs to be done differently. Maybe have a party on the weekend before and on the actual birthday just stay home, watch movies and have take out. Ask the child what they want to do on their birthday, maybe they don't want to celebrate it, or think about it, and that is their decision. But as parents we should recognize these signs and support them whatever way we can.

My precious little one/s. What a hard day for you. When everyone around you is smiling and partying to celebrate your birth, you may be crying and screaming cause you can't understand why she would give you up. We will celebrate this day the way you want to celebrate this day. It is your birthday, and I will remember how hard it can be. I wish I could take the pain on for you, I don't want you to have to go through all this. I love you so much angel/s.

The worst Clomid symptom of all has struck. I am GRUMPY and ANGRY and in no mood for people. I HATE this part. It does not help that it has been raining here for over a week and I am starting to get VERY CRANKY.

I would really be better for the world if I just stayed in bed today, actually this week. But I am up and at work and NOT WANTING TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT THAT STUPID QUESTION.

So workmates STAY AWAY, people who know me outside of the computer STAY AWAY.

In less bearish news:

I watched a WHACK load of movies this weekend. But the winner of them all was this one. In a lot of the blogs strictly dealing with movies, this one kept popping up as one of the top 10 of the year. I finally checked it out.

It's in French with sub-titles, so you have to be able to focus when watching it. It's a true story. And it will break your heart.

In a short summary, a man has a stroke, it leaves him paralyzed completely. He is suffering from locked in syndrome. He is completely mentally sound and conscious, but cannot speak or move. He learns to communicate by blinking. A speech therapist reads the alphabet to him and he blinks when the right letter is said, he spells words this way. He wrote a NOVEL this way.

It's movies like this that remind me how much of a coward and weakling I am. I kept saying to myself, "If I was in his position I would beg to be shot." But, he wrote a novel. Truly unbelievable. It is the next book I will be reading for sure.

So if you have some time and want to be touched, inspired and kinda kicked in the ass to stop feeling sorry for your self (maybe thats just me) then give it a watch. I think you will be surprised.

There are 4 parts to an adoptees identity. 1. Parts know to themselves- hair color, eye color, likes and dislikes. 2. Parts unknown to self - unconscious stuff. Things like messages received by birth mother inutero. 3. Parts know to others - things they share with people, friends, teachers etc. 4. Parts unknownn to others - the shame, fearful, negative thoughts they may have. Especially around their birth parents.

What we can do as parents: Show unconditional support and openness. Support them in their desiciosn and be wiling and open to talk about anything. They are not going to share their unknowns with you if they feel they are not allowed to talk about them. Encourage Self disclose - everyone needs someone they can trust, someone they can share their secrets with. We have to encourage our kids that telling others about ourselves is ok, and that you can trust this thought, this secret with me and I will not laugh and I will listen. Show unconditional love - loving them no matter what. Even if they do something we disagree with, its the action that is not loved, not the person.

Sweet little one/s. We will work together to make sure you are whole. We will talk about the hard stuff, laugh about the funny stuff and cry together through the sad stuff. I understand your identity is complex but I more then willing to work through these thoughts with you, so that you can feel safe, happy and at home with me. And NEVER worry about the unconditional love, you already have it.

SOO many people recommended this movie to me. All girls of course. I finally had a evening to my self and rented this baby, Keith may have watched it with me, but I thought it would be better enjoyed alone.

This is the BEST, PERFECT, GREATEST chick flick I have ever come upon. It was sooo well done. And the crazy thing....the lead actor in this film was perfect, which is surprising, because he was the perfect lead actor in 300. Which is the most manly movie ever to come out, seriously makes you feel like you should have balls, kinda movie. It was amazing though, and if ladies you haven't seen it due to the gore, and fighting and such, you should check it out, because there are scenes with 100's of shirtless men with 8 packs, not 6, 8. It is incredible. So Gerald Butler being in the most manlyiest movie ever and then appearing in the most girliest movie ever, just shows how awesomely fantastic this actor is. I was actually just asked who my top 5 Hollywood hunks are, he made the list, before I saw this movie.

Time warp....back to Tuesday....

Crazy weekend! So fun. Friday I had supper, drinks and movieage with my friend Carmen. We saw 21, which was really good. I enjoyed it. It was a predictable movie, but still amusing.

Saturday we went up to Sylvan Lake. Keith's grandma is selling her house and moving to Calgary. So she had a massive garage sale all weekend. We went up to help. I did help, but in the taking everything kinda way. Garage sales are evil! I can't resist the bargains and the potential beauty in things. Sooo I ended up with a fridge. A old antique fridge. But it's a fridge. I do not plan on using it is a fridge, but turning it into a masterpiece of usefulness. Just you wait and see.

I also scored a camping cot, camping pot (rhyming!) and camping utensils. A stroller Keith was pushed in and wooden toy blocks. Good stuff. 

And I hit the mother load. Keith's grandma came out and gave me a garbage bag. She said take whatever you want.

Instead the garbage bag was..................................

SHOES! Tons and tons of them. And they are all antiques and are the kind that are so old that they are now trendy again. And I can't stop smiling. They all need new heels, and some need some fixing up, but I have a shoe lady who can repair them!

No pictures yet. It is not Friday and it is still May, handbag month, and they all need to go to makeup before appearing on the big screen. So patience! They will come.

Sunday my dad and Keith did all the electrical work in the basement. How did I get my daddy to be such a hero and save our basement? I e-mailed him.

Your princess daughter is in great need. She is hopefully going to be bringing forth little grandchildren to your life and these little grandchildren are in need of a place to play!

We have this awesome location for the little ones dream play centre, but unfortunately it is without electricity :( so so sad.

This coming up weekend happens to be an extra long one? Isn't that interesting, an extra day! What oh what could someone like you do with this day??

And he came! And him and Keith did a amazing job on the basement. Now all we need is drywall and carpet and the babies can play!

Yesterday, Monday, I cleaned. Why?

Today is out 3rd and final home study!!! Today. Final. So. Close. To. Baby. Spit. Up.

Also, today is  my second day of CLOMID! Aunt Flo made her self present on Saturday. I made a call to the clinic. They called back! I started Clomid yesterday. I have to get blood work done today. My first ultrasound is booked for May 27, 2nd booked for May 29. IUI will hopefully be on the 30th, 31st or the 1st! AHHHH!

Kids who are adopted, no matter what age, are victims. They are the victims of rejection and abandonment. It is important to remember that when they are growing up and you think everything is fine with them because they are not talking about their birth parents. When in reality, they want to talk about them, but they don't think they are allowed too. Even if you have never said that to them, through their victimization they feel as though they should not bring up the topic. So as adoptive parents, we have to start these conversations. Whether during play, a story, a movie, at a hard time or a celebration time. The birth parents need to be mentioned. A lot of parents get competitive and don't want to mention then out of fear that their child may love the birth parents more. But thats not the case, the child loves you, but needs to feel safe enough to talk about the birth parents, so that they can grieve and heal and then feel safe enough to love you.

I am not scared to talk about your birth parents little one/s. I do not know how much we will know about them, but I promise to share all I do know. I promise to talk about them often and make time to initiate those conversations. I understand that you need to feel safe with me in order to love me, so I will create the safest environment I can, because I love you so much already.
