You know when it is hard to write about the little stuff, stuff that normally you have no trouble writing, because something big is always on your mind? 

The big thing is not my story to share, but someone close to me is going through a health scare and in times like this it throws your thoughts around. 

Will they be ok? What is happening? Why can't we know more sooner? It's not fair....

It also makes thoughts turn to oneself, it's unavoidable really. Not only thoughts about what can I do? how can I help? But bigger things like am I healthy? What really matters in all this? What is important? 

And truly, the thing that matters most is health. That the people I love are healthy. Money, stuff, vacations, decks, clothes, all of it fades away when health is in question. 

So to stay on top of health, to be actively involved in a small amount of health I can control, my own, I saw the Dr yesterday about all my moles. Ohhh wow do I have a lot of moles. Over 100. And I am pasty and I have blue eyes and blonde hair, all things that are risk factors of moles turning bad. I really should have them checked every year, but when littles come and your mind is always on THEIR health, these things are forgotten. 

I have a few funny ones, so my amazing Dr is going to remove them on Friday and make sure everything is ok. Staying ontop of health. 

So challenge for the day: go get your mole checked, or that pain, or ache. Just go get a physical! A pap test, or even just write a note in your calendar to make an appointment for you, not for just the kids. 

Because friends health scares are SCARY and I know for most of these scares there is honestly little we can do to prevent them, but that doesn't mean we should not try.

TODAY: Playdate with a buddy I haven't seen in a while, always fun. More cleaning, I got the kitchen done yesterday, that was all. And some more reading because I am sooo addicted to these books I finished an entire one yesterday! I am so crazy like that. Good day ahead I predict.

I made an appointment, and yes I will have to go give blood and all that fun stuff since my liver enzymes were high last year but the good news they were back to normal in September.
